This workshop is a training workshop with an emphasis on camera relationship and actor. In the first place, the psycho/physical examination of acting done by the students is an analysis of how well the learner’s physical instrument reflects his/her psychological state. These two elements must work in tandem, especially if students’ filmmaking projects have monologues or dialogues. Through series of exercises involving improvisation, inner/outer movement, rhythmic patterns, sense memory etc. the learners develop their abilities to synchronize text, body and mind in naturalistic performances. Secondly, acquiring the understanding of what an actor’s craft looks like the students learn to direct using their own as well as their peers’ experiences.

This workshop is both educational and has a production side to it. During the workshop, a student not only acquires knowledge and professional skills but also receives a final product of his/her own creation after completion of every stage: self-created photo-album, video ethude, two film-formatted scripts, animated and live-action short film.
